It represents a further diversification of the non-Star-Cluster Mongolic C2b lineages, found among Mongolian, Manchu, and northern Chinese populations. The M77 marker defines a Bronze Age clade that co-existed alongside the Star Cluster (C2b1a1) on the Mongolian Plateau without undergoing the same medieval founder-effect explosion.
